Camaro Pace cars are by far one of the hottest collector cars in the world. Here are some reasons to consider. First, it`s a 69 Camaro (the number 1 sought after collector classic car). Second, it`s a convertible. Third, it`s a Super Sport and a Rally Sport. Fourth, it`s a low production special edition that very few people have had to opportunity to own. only 3675 Indy Replicas were produced. The opportunity is now yours to own this fine example of one of Chevy`s best efforts at a limited production car. A true Z-11 code on the cowl tag. Build date 05A which is 05= May A=first week the vin of this car ends in N637906 which falls between N636000 & N 654000 shows a production month of May 1969. This particular pace car is loaded with options: Very Rare factory air-conditioning & tilt steering column, more common options: power steering, power front disc brakes, working original AM/FM radio, tachometer and full gauges in the console, and of course the standard features: RS/SS, deluxe orange houndstooth interior trim with molded door panels, dover white exterior paint with hugger orange stripes racing over functional steel cowl induction hood and deck lid, front and rear spoilers, 15 inch Rallye wheels, hide-a-way headlights and lower mounted reverse lights, chrome accent gills, chrome fender well trim and so much more. Show quality! This pace car is sporting the Indianapolis 500 door decals adding more to the collector appearance. I understand the decals came in a box and were at the customers choice to install or not. I like them both ways. The Engine block is coded (TO424HB) meaning engine was built April 24 (perfect for May built car) HB=350 V8 300 hp high performance model with 4bbl carb. The Automatic transmission is stamped with the vin derivitive matching the vehicle's Identification number continuing to document the authenticity. The engine bay is nicely detailed. The 350 V-8 still retains original manifolds with the correct spark plug heat shields. We found one in Reno at "HOT AUGUST NIGHTS" just a tad fresher we were going to buy but ended up selling for over 90 grand plus sales commission.. It has been 1 year since we had a pace car. This is a fine example. It is ready to show, drive, collect and enjoy! Financing, insurance, and delivery available. |
