Modern classic from Pininfarina, elegant and simple Alfa-Romeo Spider (which is also called Alfa Romeo Spyder) roadster body work started along with 1966 Duetto, which will prove really popular, lasting in to late 1990s. Mechanics of Spider’s were essentially the same as that of Giulia saloon, which is independent from the front suspension, live coil-suspended rear axle & 4-wheel disc servo-assisted brakes. It is regarded widely as design classic, this Alfa Romeo Spider had remained in the production for nearly 3 decades along with just minor aesthetic & mechanical changes.

Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai at UAE recently launched special service of licensing for few of rarest classic cars for this country. However, before numbers of special licensing are taken out, these cars must prove that they are 30 years or older by going through series of tests that are organized by RTA.
UAE has about 3,000 classic cars & taking a look at the different reports, all are more than thirty years old. The sources confirm that 1st auction of rarest and oldest cars will be starting on 14th June, where the cars will get licenses. This event is organized by the RTA along with joint cooperation with the UAE Automobile & Touring Club. With just 4 Aston Martin DB4GT Zagato Sanction IIs ever made, when 1 hit an auction block over weekend it had represented once-in-life time opportunity for some one to take the ownership of 1 of rarest DB4s in the existence. It perhaps isn’t really surprising to hear that the bidding for car was really ferocious, ending along with world record bid for DB4 of about £1.23 million (about $2 million) @ Bonhams auction of Aston Martin Works, held at Newport Pagnell in England.

Enthusiasts of classic car will be making their way to Little Totham this Saturday as a lot of vintage cars descend on this village. Motorbike Rally & Little Totham Car takes place at Little Common, & is set for featuring in about seventy automobiles from 1930s to 1990s.
These bikes and cars, will include 1937 Morris 8, 1969 MGB Roadster & 1960 Morris Minor, and they will be on the show from 11 am to 4 pm. Hilary Oram, is organizing this event, with her husband Dave and she says that they have got long the cars which are coming mostly from the local areas, & they are still getting few entries which are coming through post.

Lovers of classic car from over the country are now coming to Indy for 1 of world’s biggest auto auctions. It is Mecum auto auction @ State Fairgrounds, where above 2,000 classic cars will be made available, & the organizers say that value of the cars could be well above $60 million. The prices start from couple of thousand dollars and they go all the way up to 7 figures. This auction runs till Sunday. The tickets will cost you $15 at door. All these vehicles are on the display for public before the auction.

The fans of classic car recently took to roads in last Sunday. It was part of the Drive It Day, and aims at showing appeal of driving and owning a classic automobile. This annual event got started through Federation of the British Historic Vehicle Clubs & got first staged in the year 2005. For west Cornwall, this road trip of this year had started from the McDonald’s at Hayle @ 10.30 am, for going to Wheal Martyn Clay China Museum in St Austell.

Classic automobile enthusiasts will get out later in this month as a part of the Drive It Day; it is aiming to show appeal of having & driving classic vehicle.
This annual event, was first conceived by Federation of the British Historic Automobile Clubs & was staged first in the year 2005. It is held for commemorating 64 autmobiles which set on April 23rd, 1900 from London, on 1st day of Thousand Mile gruelling trial.
A lot of events have got planned in Westcountry for marking occasion at April 22rd, on Sunday. Crash Box and Classic Car Club will return at The Den at Teignmouth for a gathering which will be taking place amidst 10.30 am & 4 pm & is open for all the classic cars & motorcycles.

We have seen a lot of Back to the Future DeLorean DMC-12 imitation going through halls of internet. Back then, we always assumed that the original film car got tucked safely somewhere in museum. But now it seems that isn’t the case. Of all automobiles made for 3 movies, most comprehensive hero automobile, also known as A Car, was on display on out side. Ensuing suffering years in elements were not really kind to DMC-12, & Bob Gale, the co-writer in BTTF chronicle, is working for having this automobile restored completely to the original condition.
